The trial for a woman charged in connection with a 2017 drug bust in the Estevan area has begun.
52-year-old Marion Ellson was charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, after a substance seized back in December of 2017, was found to contain carfentanil – a derivative of fentanyl, but is 100 times more powerful.
Ellson’s jury trial began yesterday (MON), and is set to run for ten days, in Estevan Court of Queen’s Bench.
