Husky Energy has pleaded guilty to 3 charges after a massive spill 3 years ago, while 7 other charges were withdrawn.
Husky was also ordered to pay $3.8-million in fines no later than June 30.
It was July, 2016 more than 200 thousand litres of crude oil and a diluting agent spilled from a 16 inch pipeline near Maidstone.
40% of it got into the North Saskatchewan River, affecting water supplies in several communities downstream.
Calgary based Husky has since spent 144 million dollars in response to the spill.
