One person is dead following yesterday’s (Wed) collision at the intersection of Highway 1 and Highway 9 near Whitewood.

Just before noon, a motorcycle and a Correctional Services Canada transport vehicle collided, sending the driver of the motorcycle to hospital.

The 62-year-old man later succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

There were no reports of any injuries to passengers in the transport vehicle, as alcohol is not being considered a factor, and no charges are anticipated.
