Province Expanding Walk-in Mental Health Services in 23 Sask. Communities

The Saskatchewan government is investing 1.2 million dollars to expand walk-in mental health services, to 23 communities across the province.
Among those communities, are Yorkton, Kamsack, Kelvington, Wynyard, Southey, and Indian Head.
Yorkton was previously one of five communities to be part of a pilot project featuring such services, which are operated through Family Services Saskatchewan.
With this expansion, FSS member agencies will provide free walk-in counselling services, for anyone dealing with a number of issues, including stress, family conflict, and urgent mental health needs.
