Saskatchewan Agriculture reports farmers now have 2% of their crops harvested.
That’s up from 1% last week, but behind the 5 year average for this time of year of 9% complete.
Harvest progress is most advanced in the southern regions, where 3% of the crop is now combined.
Producers in the central and northern regions have harvested less than 1% of the crop.
Crop specialist Cory Jacob says 5% of crops are swathed or ready to straight-cut, behind the five-year average of 12%.
