New Court Date for Punnichy Woman Charged with Attempted Murder

A 23-year-old Punnichy woman remains in custody, facing several charges, including Attempted Murder, in connection with an April 19th shooting in Regina.
Janaya Kinequon (kin-ah-quon) was arrested after a 20-year-old man showed up in hospital with serious injuries from a gunshot.
Police say the shooting appears to be related to an incident involving a group of children and two adults, in which there was an argument that became physical, resulting in gunfire.
Kinequon’s bail hearing, originally set for yesterday (TUES) in Punnichy, did not go ahead, and is now scheduled for September 16th, in Regina.
