Parkland Hunters Encouraged to Participate in CWD Survey

Three wildlife management zones in the Parkland region are part of the Saskatchewan Environment Ministry’s target zones for Chronic Wasting Disease testing this year.
The ministry’s Iga Stasiak says hunters are encouraged to turn in the heads of deer, moose, elk and caribou.
While the central nervous system disease is fatal in cervid game animals, there’s no evidence it can be transmitted to domestic livestock.
