Sask. Crown Corporations Prepare For A Strike

The clock is ticking when it comes to a strike involving almost 4500 employees of Saskatchewan’s Crowns. While those workers have been in a “work-to-rule” campaign since Monday, Unifor which is the union representing them say a full-scale strike will begin Friday if a new contract is not reached. It has people wondering about what services will be affected.
SaskPower says most of their affected employees are in administrative support or call centres so any power outages will be restored by regular line technicians. SaskEnergy service technicians would be declared essential if a strike happens. SaskTel says they have a plan in place and will release more information on those plans if the strike does happen.
