It may only be March 4th, but the Saskatchewan government is reminding ice fishers about the deadline to get your structures off the ice.
South of Highway 16, they have to be removed by the 15th.
North of the Yellowhead Highway, the deadline is the 31st.
Failure to do so could see owners prosecuted, and the structure and contents may be moved off the ice and confiscated.
Litter must also be removed when ice shelters are taken off the ice.
