Manitoba Government extends deadline for businesses to file taxes, due to COVID-19

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Manitoba government is is pushing back the deadline for business to file their taxes, by two months.
In a release, Premier Brian Pallister says it is one of several measures being taken to assist Manitobans during this period, noting flexibility is needed, assome businesses may need access to the extra funds
The province is extending the April and May filing deadlines for small and medium-sized businesses, with monthly remittances of less than ten-thousand dollars, giving them up to two additional months to remit the sales and payroll taxes.
.Finance Minister Scott Fielding says the government will work with businesses, regarding flexible repayment options above the ten-thousand dollar cap.
