Federal officials say there are now 27,557 cases of COVID-19 in Canada, and 954 deaths.
In her daily briefing in Ottawa, chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam also says there is some encouraging news, in that during March, the number of cases was doubling every 3 days, but now it’s every 10.
462 thousand people have now been tested, with 6% positive.
Still, she admits it seems right now, the pandemic is slowing down.
