COVID-19 Update Friday June 5
*1 new case in Saskatchewan Thursday, totaling 648. 608 recoveries, 11 deaths, 29 active cases.
*Phase 3 of the Reopen Saskatchewan plan is Monday, and includes the reopening of restaurants to 50 percent capacity, gym and fitness facilities, child care facilities and places of worship.
*Yorkton mayor Bob Maloney says part of Monday’s reopening will see some outdoor recreational facilities open, but the Gallagher Centre, the Godfrey Dean Cultural Centre, and the Yorkton Public Library remain closed for now.
*No new cases in Manitoba yesterday, leaving the province’s total at 298. 284Â people have recovered, the number of deaths remains at seven, leaving seven active cases.
*New numbers on the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada have been released, and it shows the spread of the virus in most of the country is slowing.
*There are 93,726 cases in Canada, with 7,637 deaths and 51,739 recoveries.
*In the U.S there are 1.9 million cases, 110,000 deaths and 439,000 recoveries.
*Worldwide, there are 6.7 million cases, 393,600 deaths and 3,2 million recoveries.
*Brazil posted a record number of daily deaths for third consecutive day on Thursday, with 1,437 and 30,925 additional cases.
