Sentencing Adjourned Again for Man Charged in Serious Assault at Muscowpetung First Nation

Sentencing has been adjourned again, for a Muscowpetung First Nation man, charged following a serious assault on the reserve, in the fall of 2016.
In December, 35-year-old Wade Morris Lerat pled guilty to Aggravated Assault and Unlawful Confinement, and at his appearance yesterday (THURS) in Fort Qu’Appelle, the matter was adjourned to August 14th.
Lerat and two other men, who have since been convicted and sentenced, were charged following an incident, which took place on September 18th and 19th, 2016, in an isolated part of the reserve, that resulted in a 42-year-old man requiring hospital care.
