The labour dispute at the Co-op Refinery Complex that has been ongoing since December 5 seems to have officially come to an end.
The main issue was over pension plans.
Members of Unifor Local 594 ratified a deal that was accepted by the union’s bargaining committee on Friday.
The deal includes monetary aspects of the final offer proposed in March.
In a news release, the new collective agreement maintains the defined benefit pension plan and the company matched employee savings plan for existing workers, along with wage improvements.
