Ottawa Gets A Call For More Tourism Funding For Sask.

Parks, Culture and Sport Minister for Saskatchewan Gene Makowsky is calling on the federal government to provide more support to the province’s tourism industry. Ottawa is giving Quebec and the Atlantic provinces more than 46 million dollars to support their tourism industries during the COVID-19 crisis, and Makowsky says equal consideration should be made for the rest of Canada. He’s sent a letter to Federal Minister of Economic Development Melanie Joly to state his concerns on the matter.
