Case Adjourned For Three People Connected To Illegal Tobacco Sales In Pelly

A new court date has been set for three people, arrested in connection with illegal tobacco sales at a Pelly business.

RCMP and the Saskatchewan Ministry of Finance wrapped up a four month investigation in January, which ended with six search warrants in Pelly and Hyas.

Officials seized about 227-thousand illegal cigarettes, 25 pounds of loose-leaf tobacco, and about 18-hundred dollars in Canadian currency.

71-year-old Brian Clough, 25-year-old Brittany Clough, and 25-year-old Andrew Popoff, had their matters heard in Yorkton Provincial Court today, where they were adjourned until September 22nd in Kamsack.
