One person is dead after a two-vehicle collision on Highway 1, 5 kilometres east of Indian Head.

RCMP responded to the scene at 12:40 this morning (Sat) and say a semi with a trailer collided with a minivan that was entering the highway.

The two people in the semi were not hurt, but the driver of the minivan, a 62-year-old man from the Carry the Kettle First Nation, was declared dead at the scene.

Indian Head Fire, EMS, File Hills Police also responded and the RCMP investigation is ongoing.
