Foam Lake and District Health Foundation Successfully Raises Money For New X-Ray Machine

Fundraising by the Foam Lake and District Health Foundation to raise money for a new digital X-Ray machine has been successfully completed.

Foundation co-chair Colleen Kostiuk says they actually reached the mark New Years Eve.

“With the Chase the Ace we raised 35-thousand dollars, which brought our total to $254-thousand and some extra change to cover the cost of our X-Ray equipment.” she said.

Kostiuk says a local You Tube celebrity has helped them out quite a bit.

“Quick Dick McDick had done a lot for our committee and brought in a lot of resources for our campaign. We had received donations from as far as Texas,” Kostiuk said.

The high-tech device was installed and has been operational since January, 2020.

With the campaign now complete, Kostiuk says they plan to stay on a committee.

“Our community needs some resources for people to donate, and there is alway equipment needed between the health centre and the nursing home.” she noted.
