Judge Reserves Sentencing For Bowsman, Manitoba Man to March 10 in Ottawa

A Bowsman, Manitoba man accused of ramming through a gate at Rideau Hill while heavily armed, will wait a few more weeks before receiving his sentence.

Correy Hurren appeared in Ottawa this afternoon (Tue) for sentencing, where the judge reserved his decision for March 10th.

Hurren pled guilty to seven weapons-related offences and one count of mischief back on February 5th.

The crown is seeking six years in prison minus time already served, and a lifetime firearm ban, while the defense has requested a three year prison sentence, less a year for his pre-trial custody.
