Average Canadian farmland values rose by 5.4 per cent last year, slightly more than the 5.2 per cent increase reported in 2019. Saskatchewan also recorded a 5.4 percent increase, according to Farm Credit Canada’s Farmland Values Report. British Columbia had the largest rise among the provinces at 8 per cent. Quebec followed at 7.3 per cent, Alberta was 6 per cent, Ontario, 4.7 per cent, and Manitoba, 3.6 per cent.
