The Manitoba government is providing 150-thousand dollars in funding for community mobilization hubs in Swan River, Altona, and Winkler, to help ensure that at-risk youth and families receive the support they need.
The hubs bring together agencies and organizations that normally work separately, to provide support and interventions for vulnerable Manitobans
The province’s Policing and Public Safety Strategy has determined that community mobilization is vital in crime prevention, and building local partnerships.
With today’s (WED) announcement, the government is supporting 12 community hubs across Manitoba, including Swan Valley Community Mobilization, and DART/ReSTART, in Dauphin.
