The Saskatchewan Roughriders have announced the five finalists for their “Riders and Special Blend Community Support initiative” which will give out five-thousand dollars to three rural communities across the province.
The finalists are Springside, the Peepeekisis Cree Nation, Arcola, Hafford, and Wilcox
Springside would put the money toward covering costs and upgrading equipment for the local fire department, while the Peepeekisis First Nation hopes to use the money to build new ball diamonds in the community.
Online voting is underway now until this Monday at www.riderville.com

Northern Hockey Development will be hosting an Easter Skills Spring Camp in Bredenbury.
Running from April 6th-9th, the camp is open to kids born from 2004-2011.
Instruction will be provided by Yorkton Terriers coaches Bret Peppler and Zach Rakochy and as well as 2020 SJHL MVP and former Yorkton Terrier captain Chantz Petruic.

**The City of Melville’s Youth Soccer Program is taking in registrations for the 2021 season.
The program will tentatively run from May 3rd to June 28th with times and locations to be determined.
It’s open for the Under 4, Under 6, Under 8, Under 10, Under 12 and Under 14 divisions.
They’ll not accept any payment until they’re certain that soccer can go ahead.

**The Prep Baseball Report will be in Saskatoon to evaluate and promote players to their college baseball programs.
The dates of their camp will be April 20th and April 21st at the Gordie Howe Training Center.
Local players that will be graduating between 2021 and 2025 are eligible to take part in the two-day camp.
