Groups and organizations in Saskatchewan that raise funds through charitable gaming activities, are receiving about 1.1 million dollars in charitable gaming grants.
During the most recent quarter, the Yorkton and surrounding area received over 161-thousand dollars.
Among them, the Lions Club of Esterhazy gets more than 27-thousand dollars, more than 54-thousand dollars going to the Foam Lake Recreation Centre, and the Legion in Melville is getting just over 4-thousand dollars.
The charitable gaming grant program supports groups and organizations that conduct charitable gaming, including licenced bingos, raffles, break-open tickets, Texas Hold’em poker, and Monte Carlo events.
