Sask. Residents 85-And-Over or Those Vaccinated Before February 15 Can Book Appointments for Second Shot of COVID-19 Vaccine

As of 8 a.m. today (Mon), second dose vaccination appointments can be booked by Saskatchewan residents 85-and-older, or those who got their first shot before February 15 of this year.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority also lists people being treated for cancer, are bone marrow transplant recipients, or who have a blood cancer diagnosed within the last 2 years, and those who have received solid organ transplants as eligible to book their second doses as well.

People with these medical conditions will get a confirmation letter sent to them in the mail, and need to present when going for their second dose.

Second dose vaccinations will be available at pharmacies, Saskatchewan Health Authority run drive-thru and walk-in clinics, as well as clinics run by Indigenous Services Canada and the Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority.

Online bookings will not be available until 8 a.m. tomorrow (Tues).

Eligibility for second doses will be based on age and priority sequencing, similar to the process for first doses.
