Manitoba Identifies 63 New Cases of COVID-19, 40 Recoveries and One Death

Manitoba recorded 63 new cases of COVID-19 Sunday, bringing the provincial total to 56,889.

Breaking it down, 36 are in the Winnipeg Health Region, 15 in the Interlake-Eastern Health Region, 9 in the Southern Health Region, 2 in the Prairie Mountain Health Region, and one in the Northern Health Region.

A total of 135 people are in hospital, including 34 in the Intensive Care Unit, and an additional 40 people recovered, increasing the overall total to 54,655.

There are 1-thousand 73 active cases across Manitoba, including 85 in the Prairie Mountain Health Region, and one more death was recorded, bringing that total to 1-thousand 161.

Manitoba had 1-thousand 392 COVID-19 tests done Sunday, according to the Dashboard, increasing the total since February of 2020 to 845,518.

The test positivity rate for Manitoba is currently 5.3 percent.
