A Yellowquill First Nation Man Returns To Court On Attempted Murder Charges

A man charged following an attempted murder dating back to last fall has made another court appearance.

On the night of October 4, 2020, Mounties say the victim met three people at a Regina nightclub, before leaving with them in a vehicle.

The victim was then beaten, tortured and robbed, before being left unconscious and seriously injured, in a field north of Fort Qu’Appelle.

24-year-old Austin Severight, of the Yellowquill First Nation will be back in Regina Provincial Court next Thursday, along with his co-accused, 25-year-old Jenna Hoffman, of Wadena.

Each faces several charges, including Robbery, Kidnapping, and Attempted Murder.
