- As of December 17th, there are 49 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 82,069 reported cases
- The new cases are located in the Far North West (3), North West (2), North Central (1), North East (2), Saskatoon (24), Central East (3), Regina (11), South Central (1), and South East (2) zones
- Four (4) cases with pending residence information were assigned to the Saskatoon (from December 14 (1), December 15 (2)), and South East (from December 15 (1)) zones
- Five (5) SK residents tested out-of-province were added to the case counts in the North West (from December 14 (2)), Regina (from December 12 (1)), and Saskatoon (from December 13 (2)) zones

- Almost one-third (32.7%) of new cases are in the age category of 20 to 39
- More than one-half (56.5%) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 5 years and older) were fully vaccinated
- As of December 17th, a total of 107 individuals are hospitalized, including 74 inpatient hospitalizations and 33 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 107 patients, 65 (60.7%) were not fully vaccinated.
- There are no (0) residents in out-of-province ICUs.
- One (1) new death reported today. 942 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died, with a case fatality rate of 1.1%.
- 1,307,026 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. As of December 15th, 2021, when other provincial and national numbers are available from PHAC, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 1,103,844 tests performed per million. The national rate of 1,320,194 tests performed per million.
