Manitoba recorded 178 new cases of COVID-19 on its dashboard.

71 of the new cases are in Winnipeg, 33 in the North, 32 in Interlake-Eastern, 26 in Prairie Mountain Health, and 16 in the South.

There are 420 people in hospital due to COVID, which is down by 39, and the number in ICU is also down to 22.

Five more deaths due to COVID-19 were recorded, increasing the total to 1,690.

Province-wide, 7,142 cases are active and there were 1,217 tests done in the province.

The current test positivity rate is 12.6 percent.
