Following his address to delegates at the SARM convention, Premier Scott Moe and the province’s cabinet ministers participated in a bear pit. Questions from delegates dealt with rural crime and the energy sector, but highways were the main focus, and Moe says they are looking to improve 1,100 kilometres of highways this year. On health care, Moe promised there will be additional spending to reduce surgical times and hire health care workers. The premier is also encouraging the United States to take a second look at the Keystone Pipeline.
