The Carry the Kettle Nakoda Nation has filed a judicial review application against the Government of Saskatchewan. The First Nation claim it’s over a failure to consult an accommodate them over the sale or lease of Crown Land. They are asking the court to order the government to properly consult on the adverse effects of land dispositions. They also claim the government has failed live up to Treaty 4 obligations when they decided to sell traditional territory.
