Two Balcarres residents have been charged in relation to a firearm offence at a Regina home last night (Mon).
Around 10 p.m., police responded to a call at a home on the 14-hundred block of Bond Street, where allegedly a group of masked suspects, armed with a firearm, attempted to rob a man, but the man ran back into the home and locked the door.
The suspects left in a vehicle, but were located and five occupants were arrested, and a search revealed a firearm and a substance believed to be meth.
29-year-old Lynden Bellegarde is charged with possession of meth and armed robbery using a prohibited firearm, while 30-year-old Brett Lorne Bellegarde is charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.
Both made their first court appearance in Regina this afternoon (Wed).
