Punnichy RCMP are investigating a fatal vehicle-pedestrian collision on the George Gordon First Nation.

Mounties received a report of a collision on Sunday night (Apr. 3), and their investigation determined a 52-year-old woman from the First Nation was struck by a vehicle, which did not remain at the scene.

The victim was taken to hospital but later died of her injuries, and her family has been notified.

RCMP located the vehicle but no arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information should call Punnichy Mounties or Crime Stoppers.
