Work on Lift Station in Melville progressing, Lot sale underway

Construction will proceed at the Lift Station in Melville.

Mayor Walter Streelasky says with all the work things could get very noisy in the area.
Streelasky says the project is at the backfill stage and is nearly complete, adding the City has informed citizens ahead of time that it will get noisy.
Streelasky thanked Westridge Construction for taking on the giant project.
Grant awarded to the Rail City

Mayor Walter Streelasky says that the City received 10-million dollars to go towards their lagoon system.
He says this works hand-in-hand with the new Water Treatment Plant that opened over a year-and-a-half ago.
The funding came from the ICIP program.

Melville is also looking at attracting new residents to the community.
Streelasky says a lot sale, for the lots on Toronto and Winnipeg streets, is taking place and the number to contact at Melville City Hall is 306-728-6840.
