A Man Charged With Passing Counterfeit Money Is Off The Hook

The case of a man arrested in connection with the alleged use of fake money at a Regina business last year was back in Regina Provincial Court Thursday. 37-year-old Pierre Laferte, of Regina, had the counterfeit money charges laid against him, stayed by the Crown Prosecutor. The charges against his co-accused, 32-year-old Tyson Knutson of Grenfell, were withdrawn in December. The investigation began last May, when Regina Police received a report from a business, where an individual allegedly used phony one-hundred-dollar bills, on two occasions.
