A pair of local organizations are receiving federal dollars.

Kia Canada in partnership with Community Foundations Canada are providing money to local charities and non-profits through the Kia Communities in Motion program.

Local recipients includes the Yorkton and District Community Foundation, while Kamsack is receiving funding for the creation of a regional Saulteaux Language and Culture Program.

The nine recipients announced for the first phase of funding will receive 1.4-million dollars over the four years.
