The man who designed the Saskatchewan Flag died yesterday at his home in England at age 81. Anthony Drake designed the flag back in 1969 when he was a teacher in Hodgeville.
Drake last came to Saskatchewan back in 2019 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the flag. Drake designed the flag due to a contest that the province was having, and joked that he entered the contest for the $1,000 price money.
