A 23-year-old Pukatawagan man charged with murder, learned his fate yesterday in The Pas Court of Queen’s Bench.
A judge found 23-year-old August Thunder Caribou guilty of Second Degree Murder, and his case was adjourned to December 1st for sentencing.
Mounties were called to a wooded area of the community in June of 2020, where they found the body of a 22-year-old woman.
Pukatawagan RCMP say Caribou started working as a guard at the detachment earlier that month, but they stress there is no link between his employment, the victim, and the charges against him.
