It was a very successful year for AG Community Farming for Health.
Co-chair Larry Hilworth says the project raised the largest net earnings for a single year at $395,000.
The funds go to the Health Foundation, which Executive Director Ross Fisher says will go towards purchasing equipment for the hospital.
With the 10th year of Farming For Health coming to a close, questions were raised about the status of the new hospital that supposed to built in Yorkton.
MLA Greg Ottenbreit provided an update, saying the provincial government has money set aside in the budget for the planning stages.
He states that the contract has been awarded for the preliminary consultation and planning for the new facility.
Ottenbreit adds that the Yorkton hospital is third in queue, behind the approved hospital in Prince Albert, and the one undergoing preliminary construction work in Weyburn.
