One of two Winnipeg residents charged following the death of Indian Head RCMP Constable Shelby Patton last year, was back in court on Friday. On June 12, 2021 in Wolseley, Patton stopped a truck that had reportedly been stolen from Manitoba, and while Patton was out of his vehicle, the truck allegedly ran him over. 43-year-old Alphonse Traverse has been committed to stand trial for First Degree Murder in Regina Court of King’s Bench, where he appeared Friday, with his next pretrial appearance set for December 16th. His co-accused, 44-year-old Marlene Pagee, is charged with Accessory After the Fact to Murder, and will make her next appearance in Regina Provincial Court on October 25th.
