A site has been selected for the new hospital in Neepawa.

The hospital will be built east of the Lions Riverbend Campground near Highway 16, with preparations for construction on the property to begin in two weeks.

The facility will be nearly four times the size of the current Neepawa Health Centre, and it will include 63 acute care inpatient beds and an expanded emergency department.

The cost of the hospital will be at least 127-million dollars, and it’s expected to be completed in 2025.
