The Chief of the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations is advocating for a Canada-wide First Nations Policing Association. Bobby Cameron explains that the association would be driven by First Nations leadership and band members and would be fully funded, much the same as the RCMP, and calls on both the province and the federal government to assist in making this come to fruition. Saskatchewan already has one Indigenous police service – the File Hills First Nations Police Service
