An update regarding a man who entered a guilty plea last month, in connection with a pair of incidents that Carlyle RCMP say are connected. On the evening of July 28, 2021, police were called to investigate an alleged assault outside a business on the Pheasant Rump Nakota First Nation, that left a man seriously injured, and about an hour later, Mounties were notified that someone had discharged a firearm at a vehicle on the White Bear First Nation. On September 28th, Justin Desjarlais admitted to Aggravated Assault, and he appeared in Carlyle Provincial Court on Wednesday (26th) for sentencing, but the matter was adjourned to December 21st.
