Cowessess First Nation’s 10-megawatt solar facility is now online near Regina.

The Awasis Solar Facility was built as part of a partnership between Cowessess First Nation and Elemental Energy.

As part of the agreement, the First Nation will own and manage the facility, as well as sell power generated to SaskPower, as part of a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement.

Awasis Solar Facility will also provide enough power for 25-hundred homes on average.
