A guilty plea has been entered by an Opaskwayak Cree Nation man, charged in connection with a September drug bust on the reserve.
On Friday (Feb. 17) in The Pas, 52-year-old Leo McGinnis admitted to Uttering Threats, with the remaining charges against him stayed by the Crown.
He was given a six-month conditional discharge, and six months of unsupervised probation.
Last month, the charge against his co-accused, 28-year-old Beatrice McLaughlin, of OCN, was stayed by the Crown.
On September 27th, The Pas RCMP and the Manitoba First Nations Police Service executed a search warrant at a home on Cowley Avenue, where 225 grams of cocaine and a pellet gun were seized.
