A 56-year-old woman who pled guilty to charges stemming from an incident on the Pasqua First Nation in 2021, has been sentenced to prison time.
On May 23, 2021, Mounties say a man was hit by a vehicle, and was found in a home on the reserve, before being taken to hospital.
Laurenda Kahnapace was charged with numerous offences, and in September, she admitted to Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm and Assault with a Motor Vehicle.
In Regina yesterday (TUES), she was sentenced to eight months in jail, to be followed by a one-year conditional sentence.
She was also ordered to provide a DNA sample, and upon her release, she must abide by a five-year driving prohibition, and a lifetime firearm ban.
