SLGA makes nearly 2.1 million dollars on sale of former liquor retail properties

The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority continues the sale of its former retail stores.

In a release, the SLGA says it has accepted offers on properties in seven communities, including Esterhazy, Moosomin and Carlyle, bringing just shy of 2.1 million dollars to government coffers.

Of its 34 former store properties in the province, SLGA owned 19, with the majority of the buildings to be sold in the coming weeks, while five will be repurposed, to house other government organizations.

SLGA sold off its liquor retail permits through a public auction in February.
