Police arrested a Cote First Nation man after an attempted robbery in Swan River over the weekend.
On Sunday, a male entered a Main Street business to purchase cigarettes, but he did not have an accepted method of payment.
The male left, then returned shortly with sharp shards of a broken CD, when he threatened the employee and fled the scene when he became aware that police were coming.
Officers identified the man from video surveillance and located him a short time later.
47-year-old Frank Keewatin is charged with Robbery with an Offensive Weapon, and he was remanded in custody.
