Rossburn To Receive Federal Money

The Municipality of Rossburn is receiving $50,000 in federal funding, to put together an Asset Management Policy and Strategy.

The money comes as a $250,000 investment to five Manitoba communities announced today, with the funding coming via the Municipal Asset Management Program – an 110-million-dollar program funded by the federal government, and administered by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.

This will allow the Municipality to better track its assets, while providing clarity on its finances and upcoming responsibilities.

The Asset Management Policy and Strategy, will cover a wide range of areas, including roads, culverts, bridges, landfills, aeration systems, water and sewer utilities, buildings, landfills, and campgrounds.
