A man is dead following a vehicle-pedestrian collision early yesterday (WED) morning, on the Lake St. Martin First Nation.

Gypsumville RCMP were called out to Memorial Crescent at 12:20 a.m., where they found the victim – a 43-year-old man – dead at the scene, while the suspect vehicle was in a nearby ditch.

Mounties found the driver, a 39-year-old woman from the community, at a nearby home, and though she escaped injury in the collision, she was taken to hospital on an unrelated medical matter.

The name of the victim has not been released, and the investigation continues.
