The City of Yorkton has undergone its annual financial audit for 2022, and things are looking positive.
Finance Director Ashley Stradeski says the audit, by Baker Tilly, shows that the city is in a good place overall.
The city’s long-term debt limit is 42 million dollars, and with three projects – the fire hall, Queen Street water treatment plant and work on Dracup Avenue – remaining to be paid off, the city has more than 36 million dollars of its debt limit to work with.
Stradeski notes that the York Road project will eat into that, to the tune of around 15 million dollars.
